The Seattle Mariners squeaked to victory over the Los Angeles Angels Of Anaheim yesterday at Safeco Field with the Mariners earning the win 3 to 1. Mariners pitcher Brandon League (2.78 ERA) got the win, while Kevin Jepsen (5.04 ERA) took the loss for the Angels. Felix Hernandez went 7 solid innings for the Mariners, allowed 3 hits, no home runs and no earned runs with 3 walks and 8 strikeouts. The Angels’s starter Dan Haren went 7 innings, allowed 7 hits, no home runs and no earned runs with 2 walks and 8 strikeouts. Francisco Rodriguez (3.67) also pitched for the Angels. With the win, League’s record goes to 9-6, while Jepsen is at 2-4. David Aardsma earned the save for the Mariners, bringing his saves up to 26.
