Angels pitcher Sean O’Sullivan (6.16 ERA) got the win, while Scott Feldman (4.02 ERA) took the loss for the Rangers. Also pitching for the Angels was Rafael Rodriguez (5.83), and Jose Arredondo (5.86). The Rangers’s starter Scott Feldman went 3.2 innings, allowed 7 hits, one home run and 4 earned runs with 3 walks and 3 strikeouts. Guillermo Moscoso (3.21), Pedro Strop (7.71), and Willie Eyre (4.50) also pitched for the Rangers. With the win, O’Sullivan’s record goes to 4-2, while Feldman falls to 17-7. Brian Fuentes earned the save for the Angels, bringing his saves up to 46.
In addition to the 5 runs, the Angels managed 10 hits and committed no errors. It wasn’t a huge day for anyone at the plate for the Angels, as nobody managed more than 2 hits. Reggie Willits had a tough day at the plate, leaving 6 runners on base. The Rangers didn’t have anyone with a big night with not one batter getting more than 2 hits. The Rangers managed 2 runs, 5 hits and no errors.
Umpiring duties were performed by Mike Winters, Dan Iassogna, Larry Vanover and Sam Holbrook. There were 38,600 Angels ticket holders in attendance at Angel Stadium.
