The Los Angeles Angels Of Anaheim got a tough win over the Texas Rangers yesterday at Angel Stadium with the Angels picking up the W 6 to 5. Angels pitcher Joel Pineiro (4.23 ERA) got the win, while Scott Feldman (5.48 ERA) took the loss for the Rangers. Joel Pineiro went 6 innings for the Angels, allowed 8 hits, one home run and 3 earned runs with 2 walks and 4 strikeouts. Also pitching for the Angels was Kevin Jepsen (4.94), and Fernando Rodney (3.16). The Rangers’s starter Scott Feldman went 5.2 innings, allowed 9 hits, one home run and 5 earned runs with 3 walks and 2 strikeouts. Darren Oliver (1.51), Alexi Ogando (0.00), and Frank Francisco (4.24) also pitched for the Rangers. With the win, Pineiro’s record goes to 8-6, while Feldman is at 5-7. Brian Fuentes earned the save for the Angels, bringing his saves up to 14.
