Rangers edge Angels by 2

The Texas Rangers barely got a “W” over the Los Angeles Angels Of Anaheim yesterday at Angel Stadium with the Rangers winning 6 to 4. Rangers pitcher Dustin Nippert (4.93 ERA) got the win, while Scott Kazmir (5.67 ERA) took the loss for the Angels. Neftali Feliz earned the save for the Rangers, bringing his saves up to 21.

Vladimir Guerrero provided much of the offense for the Rangers with an incredible 5 runs batted in. In addition to the 6 runs, the Rangers managed 9 hits and committed no errors. Vladimir Guerrero led the Rangers in hitting with 4 hits, followed by Nelson Cruz’s one hit. Nelson Cruz had a tough day at the plate, leaving 4 runners on base. The Angels didn’t have anyone with a big night with not one batter getting more than 2 hits. The Angels managed 4 runs, 8 hits and one error.
